Basic Commands for Castle Luna

All commands start with a period (.)

Once you have gone through the Automatic Accss, you will have a group of commands that you can use in the Castle. The commands are based on your access level.

Access Levels

Cowan: This is a punishment level. If you find yourself at this level, you have pissed off someone on the staff, and are probably in one of the cells in the Chamber of Horrors.
Some commands are stand alone, others require one or more parameters. If a command requires a parameter, and is typed by itself, it will show you an example of how to use it. For example if you type .sos you will see a message that says Usage: sos meaning that you must have a message after the command.

Commands for Level Cowan

.help is the command you will use the most. This command lists every command available to your level.
.map gives a graphical map of the Castle. The map changes depending one what floor of the castle you are on. The first floor map is not the same as the second floor map.
.quit lets you leave the Castle.
.rules lists the rules that you were shown the first time you logged on. These are the rules of conduct for Castle Luna, and will be enforced.
.say is for the most part useless. If you are in command mode, whatever you type is assumed to be a command, and to say anything you must start with .say (.say hello). By default, everyone is in speech mode, so the .say command is not needed.
.sos allows you to send a message to any staff currently logged on to Castle Luna. Just type .sos and the will be sent to all staff. This is usually used for emergencies, where you need help of some kind.
.suicide does exactly what it says. If you use it, you will be kicked off Castle Luna, and your logon erased.
.who is probably the second most used command. When used, it will show a list of everyone currently logged into Castle Luna.

Level Initiate gets the previous commands plus the following:

You will notice that you must use commands of this level to get access to the Castle. This is the level that everyone starts at. You don't have to type the entire command. If you type .ver it will work just as well as .version but be aware that each command must be distinctive. If you type .s the Castle wil assume you mean .say since it is the first "s" available to the lowest level you have access to. Some commands have shortcuts, such as the who command. Instead of typing .who, you simply type the at sign (@). Other commands with shortcuts are .tell (>) .pemote (<) and .shout ([)

Each level has access to the commands below it, as well as commands for that level. Feel free to play with commands. You can't hurt anything, and with the exception of .suicide, you can't hurt yourself.
There are several commands at level First that you will want to learn, such as .go which allows you to move from room to room. as well as .examine which allows you to look at other users. .ustat is similar to the examine command, but shows different information such as that user's gender.
